Stopping to smell the lilacs
With spring comes one of my favorite smelling plants--Lilacs. In Rochester they have a lilac festival. Four of us decided to go check it out. It was incredible and the smell was intoxicating. I wish I could have captured that smell on camera!
Lilac's are one of my favorite flowers. A long time ago I saw a recipe for making lilac perfume. I'm going to have to look on the internet to see if I can find it again. The smell of lilacs in December would make me happy!
I too love the smell of Lilacs and can only imagine what an experience that must have been! Looks like you are having too much fun. All your pics are beautiful, reminds me of being back in VA. We still need to have a reunion!

Ok, so we don't exactly have a festival to celebrate them...but there are TONS of lilacs around here. The whole county smells like them.
